MULTI-PLATINUM, SIX-TIME GRAMMY-WINNER AMY GRANT’S FIRST NEW MUSIC IN TEN YEARS, “TREES WE’LL NEVER SEE,” IS AVAILABLE TODAY
Nashville, TN… (March 24, 2022) – Multi-platinum, six-time GRAMMY-winner Amy Grant’s first new music in a decade, the track “Trees We’ll Never See,” is now available across all DSP’s, along with a scenic lyric video. BILLBOARD spoke with Grant last week about creating new music, the poignant new single, and how “the gift of life’s fourth quarter is the perspective and awareness and the appreciation of all of it.” |
Since the age of 15, and now in her early 60s, Grant has really never stopped making music, and her most happy place to make music is with friends. While she has continued to release music, it has been 10 years since she’s released new songs, the last being her critically-acclaimed album “How Mercy Looks From Here.” That experience with producer and songwriter Marshall Altman was so rewarding and life-giving that Amy called on Altman again in 2023 to produce two new songs, including “Trees We’ll Never See,” and “What You Heard,” co-written with Natalie Hemby and Barry Dean, is scheduled to release April 28th. “’Trees We’ll Never See’ is one of those life-lesson, encouraging songs that remind us that we are not alone, we have a purpose, and the seeds we plant today are so important,” says Grant. “Even if we ‘never see’ the fruit or the trees that grow from those seeds in our lifetime, it’s always important to invest in people, friends, family, and those we may never even meet.“ While it was penned by Altman and Michael White, “Trees We’ll Never See” is true Amy Grant in that the wisdom imparted in the lyric, paired with incredible musicianship (including Vince Gill on guitar) can be magical. This song has new color palettes rooted in singer-songwriter and Americana leanings which have always been part Grant’s music, but even more so now. Grant is currently in the middle of her spring tour run, with many dates already sold out. Throughout 2023 she will be hitting 70 cities across the U.S., and is excited to share new music and fan favorites. |
